Parental Controls
What can and cannot be restricted on a catalogue where every title is rated A.
This catalogue is adults-only, end to end
Every title on Flixmaal is classified A — restricted to 18 and over. There is no lower-rated content, which means a maturity ceiling has nothing to reveal: setting one below A hides the entire catalogue rather than filtering it. A Kids profile would show an empty home page.
This is worth stating plainly rather than shipping a ratings slider that appears to work and does nothing useful.
The control that matters here
A PIN on the profile, so opening Flixmaal on a shared device requires four digits. That is the meaningful protection for this catalogue, and it is not implemented yet.
In the meantime
Device-level controls are more effective than anything we can offer today:
- Screen Time on iOS and Digital Wellbeing on Android can restrict adult websites per device.
- Most browsers support a supervised or restricted profile.
- Network-level filtering blocks the domain for every device in a household at once.
Reporting a failure
If any title appears without its A classification, that is a defect and we want to know — use Report a Problem. Classification is shown on the tile itself, before playback, and never only after a title is opened.
