What the work is

A small product built against a messy third-party catalogue. Most of the interesting work is in the gap between what the source supplies and what a viewer should see: missing artwork, incomplete indexes, streams that resolve for one episode and not the next.

If that sounds like plumbing rather than product, it is worth saying that it is most of what makes a streaming service feel trustworthy or not.

How we work

Server-rendered by default. Degrade rather than blank. Never ship a control that appears to work and does nothing. Write down why a decision was made, next to the code that implements it.

Speculative applications

Welcome, but only with something specific — a bug you found here, a page you would rebuild, or a piece of work you are proud of. A CV with no reference to this product will not get a reply, which is a fairer thing to say than to leave you waiting.
